I’ve been so busy, I forgot to post the students of the month so I took a two fer picture! Student of the Month for May: Mike and Student of the Month for June: Elaina! Mike has been working hard on his technique, form and releasing tension. It has paid off because his playing is so much more expressive. It all comes from the body so once you master that, nothing is off limits. You just have to be patient with yourself. Elaina is FLYING through her level 2 ADULT book and is playing so beautifully sometimes it makes me tear up a bit! Knowing where she started all those years ago and hearing her now is so special. Keep up the great work, you two- it will always be worth it!http://www.chatalbashlessons.com/https://local.google.com/place?id=17111440130421434079&use=posts&lpsid=CIHM0ogKEICAgIDa6cykQg

Student of the Month for April: Kira! She's only been in lessons here for 6 months and has already gone through her level 1 adult lesson book. She works hard each week and consistently makes progress because of it. So many accomplishments and so many more yet to come! She plays so beautifully and I'm so happy to have her be apart of the studio. Congrats, Kira!http://www.chatalbashlessons.com/https://local.google.com/place?id=17111440130421434079&use=posts&lpsid=CIHM0ogKEICAgIDK0qLPdw

Deep Practice: Inspect Your Piece

My creative juices started flowing when I read this article by Terry Heick of Teach Thought, How to Read a Book (super info-graphic included). Many of the points he makes about reading books […]https://pianoaddict.com/2021/02/deep-practice-part-1-inspect-your-piece/

Student of the Month for March: Pratheeksha! She completely rocked her first NYSSMA with only a few weeks to prepare for it and got a perfect score! She put in that extra practice time and effort to make it happen and wanted the challenge. She plays so expressively, doesn’t she? She’s only been taking lessons here for less than a year and a half and has come such a long way....mostly with online lessons! I really love seeing how passionate she is about piano and performing for others and I can’t wait to see what she can do in the future. Congrats! 🎉🎶🎹http://www.chatalbashlessons.com/https://local.google.com/place?id=17111440130421434079&use=posts&lpsid=CIHM0ogKEICAgICKzrOg7AE

Student of the Month for February: Becky! She doesn’t like to toot her own horn so I’ll toot it for her. She has had six lessons so far and is already halfway through her lesson book. I’ll say that again. SIX LESSONS. HALF THE BOOK. She is super excited to have something special for just herself and is making her dream a reality. She is a true example that there is no such thing as too late, too old, too busy, too blah blah. I’m so proud and happy to see her absolutely thriving in something that brings her so much joy. She’s a rockstar! 🎵🌟http://www.chatalbashlessons.com/https://local.google.com/place?id=17111440130421434079&use=posts&lpsid=CIHM0ogKEICAgIDy9tGqEQ
